Drilling Resistance Measurement

The IML Resistograph System is based on the drilling resistance measuring method. Detailed information about the inside of trees (along roadsides, in parks or forests) and wooden structures (utility wood poles, timber bridges or playground equipment) are determined by measuring the drilling resistance (wood density). The Resistograph can locate internal defects which often can not be seen from the outside!

Sound Velocity Measurement

The Electronic Hammer is the ideal measurement instrument for the gentle evaluation of internal defects of trees. The Electronic Hammer measures the time it takes an impulse to travel through a tree, i.e. between an impact screw and a sensor screw.
Due to the characteristics sound speed of each tree species, the measured values clearly display the inner conditions of the tree.

Fractometer
Bending and Compression Strength Measurement

Depending on which Fractometer version (Fractometer I / II or
Print) you use, one can determine the values of the fracture and compression strength in wood core samples. The Increment Borer enables you to extract the core samples. These wood cores are placed into the Fractometer for the actual measurement.
This allows one to make objective statements about the fracture and compression strength of wood.
